Bello YHA feels like the first "proper" hostel that we have stayed in; everywhere so far has seemed a bit too posh and slick to be classed as a youth hostel. This place feels like a proper backpacker hostel, from the copious bugs that keep freaking Hannah out (mercifully, all the ones that we have found so far appear to be harmless; no poisonous spiders and snakes have threatened us so far) to the Hindu and Buddhist imagery on the posters around the place and the cool hippy-sounding tunes that our friendly proprietor plays on the stereo.

In all, this place gets ten out of ten for awesome cool-ness.

Keeps freaking ME out? Don't lay ALL the blame on me!? You had a certain amount of 'manly' freaked-out-ness too!
